Rain, rain, go away...

so we don't have to stand in you while Gracie pees.

So far, Gracie B. is adapting quite nicely to our family. She's very friendly, playful and yet she likes to sleep a lot. The first night, she had trouble settling down in her crate but it wasn't horrible.

Last night, we didn't hear a peep out of her - even when lightening lit up our house, thunder shook it and both kids ran into our rooms at the same time in fright. I have the early 1:30 potty duty and Mike takes her out around 5:00 before he goes to work. So far, it's been working. However, she peed twice on the floor yesterday and once today (in her sleep, mind you!) which really surprises me because she's so good at going outside. Thank goodness for laminate floors!

Mike and I (and now the kids) have reverted back to baby mode. All we seem to talk about is when Gracie peed, pooped and how much. We've added a new element to this line of questioning - 'where' did all this occur and then we rock-paper-scissor for waste removal privileges.
